It was an absolute privilege to be part of the 2026 Weybridge Festivals this year. From the lively energy of the street party to the brilliant atmosphere of the summer festival, we were incredibly proud to be right in the middle of the celebrations.
As one of the key sponsors of this year’s festivals, The Learning Experience was there for both events: The Street Party on Friday 19th June and the Weybridge Community Fair on Saturday 27th June. Two very different days, united by shared laughter, great conversations, and an atmosphere that made everyone feel right at home.
Music at the Monument: Friday 19th June
Friday evening saw Monument Green come alive with live music, food, drink, and a fantastic, buzzing atmosphere. From 6pm to 9pm, the green was packed, with families spreading out on blankets, children weaving between groups, and the smell of street food drifting across the whole scene.
The High Street, Church Street, and Baker Street joined in with a street party and late-night opening, turning the centre of Weybridge into one big, open-air celebration. Shops stayed open, restaurants spilled onto the pavement, and the weather helped get everyone in the mood to have a great time.
For our team, the highlight was honestly just the dancing. There was fantastic music, street dance and salsa classes from Rock Choir, Redz Urban Dance and Weybridge Salsa and of course it’s hard to not get dancing when Bubbles leads the way. We were up, we were moving, and we were not alone. Families, couples, groups of friends, all doing the same thing, surrendering to the music and the mood. Those are the moments you remember long after the logistics of setting up a stall have faded.
Weybridge Summer Fair: Saturday 27th June
A week later, Churchfields Recreation Park hosted the main event. Over 100 stalls filled the park, with live music and dancing throughout the day, food from every corner you could think of, and entertainment running from 11am right through to 6pm. It was the kind of day where you arrive thinking you will stay an hour and leave wondering where the afternoon went.
The School Art Competition was a genuine highlight. Entries came from six local junior schools, all working on the theme of their favourite literary character shown in a Weybridge setting. Seeing how children interpreted that brief, placing beloved characters in their own streets and parks, was a reminder of how creatively they see the world around them. Winners are now displayed in the new Library Hub, which feels like exactly the right home for them.
The brand-new Grand Raffle drew a crowd at 3pm for the prize draw, and we were pleased to contribute prizes of our own. It is a small thing, but handing something to a delighted stranger and watching their face light up never gets old.
Then, there were the bubbles. We had both the floating kind and our very own Bubbles the Elephant! We set up a bubble station, which turned out to be the best decision we made all summer. If you have never watched a crowd of children completely lose themselves chasing bubbles across a park, it is pure, unfiltered joy. Bubbles the Elephant certainly loved it, and a few adults got involved, too. If you managed to capture any pictures of the bubble-chasing action or grabbed a photo with Bubbles the Elephant himself, be sure to tag our Instagram page so we can see!
Meeting the Mayor (And Everyone Else)
The day also brought a lovely highlight for the team: meeting the Mayor. While Bubbles the Elephant is no stranger to rubbing shoulders with dignitaries, the rest of us were very pleased to make the introduction. We are still relatively new in the area, but having the chance to chat with local figures and families alike makes our day nursery in Weybridge feel properly settled in. It was a wonderful way to feel officially welcomed into the neighbourhood.
Beyond that, we bumped into familiar faces from the nursery, parents who stopped to chat, and local business owners we have been building relationships with over the past year. We met new people too: families who had not heard of The Learning Experience yet, neighbours curious about what happens behind our doors, and children who just wanted more bubbles (which is completely fair).
Why We Sponsor (And Why It Matters)
The Weybridge Festivals are run entirely by volunteers, funded by local residents and businesses, and built on the belief that a town that celebrates together stays together. This year’s sustainability focus, alongside brilliant local initiatives like Weybridge in Bloom, reflects the kind of forward-thinking, community-first values that we share.
Sponsoring these events is not a marketing exercise for us. It is a statement of intent: we are here, we are invested, and we are not going anywhere. We did not move into Weybridge to simply be a building on a street. We came here to be part of something, to contribute to the community that our families call home.
For the music, the bubbles, the handshakes, the dancing, and everything in between: thank you, Weybridge. See you next year.
