The Learning Experience Systems UK Ltd.® (“we”, “us”, “our”)—more commonly known as The Learning Experience—is committed to protecting your privacy. You have the right to transparency regarding the information we collect when you interact with us. Your privacy is very important to us, and we use your personal information only in the ways disclosed in this privacy policy.
This privacy policy sets out how we collect, use, and protect information that you provide us when you interact with us in one of five ways: (1) visiting our website, (2) applying to be a franchisee, (3) applying to work for us, (4) using our mobile application—TLE Parent; and (5) submitting an application for a spot in our preschool program. Please see below to learn more about how we use your information and what steps we take to protect that data.
We are an organization that provides childcare and childhood education to children between the ages of six weeks and six years throughout the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
What information do we collect, why do we use it, and what is our legal basis for processing it?
We process your personal information based on one or more legal bases: your consent, our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of others, our legal obligations, or our contract requirements (which may include taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract with us). When we have such a basis, the information we collect, and our purposes for collecting that data, vary depending on the context of your relationship with us. Specifically, we have different practices for people visiting our website than those using our website, submitting an application to become a franchisee, applying to become an employee, or inquiring about having their child join one of our schools. Please read on for more details about each situation.
Website Visitors
If you visit our website, we collect certain information from you and your devices, including personal data. Other than information you provided to us, we collect the following types of personal information about you:
- Website Activity. We collect information about how you access and use our website. When you visit any website, your browser automatically sends certain information such as browser type, browser language preference, operating system, internet service provider, IP address, device identification number, geo-location data, and online browsing data (like date and time of access to our website, referring website address, pages viewed, features used, links clicked, and other actions you take in connection with the website, sometimes referred to as “clickstream data”).
- Cookie Data. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on a computer or other device and is used to identify the device and to collect information. We use the data collected through cookies to manage user preferences, enable content, gather analytic and usage data, and deliver targeted advertising. Our site uses the following types of cookies:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies. These enable you to navigate our website and to use our services and features. Without these cookies, our website will not perform as smoothly for you as we would like, and we may not be able to provide certain core functions and features.

Among other uses, analytics cookies help us identify the most frequently visited pages and analyze site traffic. We use them to look at overall patterns of usage on the site, rather than the usage of any particular individual. For example, we use Google Analytics for marketing purposes by monitoring site traffic and where visitors to our website came from. You can find out more about this cookie by visiting Google’s privacy page.
- Targeting Cookies. These track browsing habits and are used to deliver targeted (interest-based) advertising.
- Functional Cookies. These cookies enable us to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. If you disable them, some or all of the enhanced services may not functionality.
When you first access our website, you will be shown a pop-up window asking you to set your cookie preferences. Except for strictly necessary cookies, all cookies are inactive by default unless you choose to activate them. Please note, however, that keeping these cookies inactive may affect the functioning of our website as you browse and result in you seeing advertisements that are not personalized to your browsing experience.
You may change your cookies settings at any time by clicking on the “Cookies Settings” button at the bottom of the website homepage. You may need to refresh your page or browser for your changes to take effect. Your browser may also give you the ability to control cookies. These policies and measures are regularly reviewed and, where appropriate, updated.
Who do you share my data with?
We want you to know that we do not sell your data. We may, however, share your information with our employees as necessary for their job, companies who perform services for us (such as third-party partners that assist us with processing applications), other companies within our corporate family (such as our parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates) for managing that relationship, and with other third parties as required by law—including law enforcement and government authorities.
